Sneak peek of the "B" family!

The "B" family has 4 adorable kiddos, 3 boys under 8 and then a little girl just over 1. I remember when I was in my first year of shooting, a family this size with so many little ones would have made me nervous:) yes, yikes, how would I get them all to sit and smile:) The "B" kiddos were amazing, and it wasn't just that I now have more experience...aside from the typical up down of a 15 month old, these kids were really listening and giving me their real smiles. It was quite funny though when we were trying to get little Miss "M" to sit with a tea set...I had the brilliant idea to make it more fun by adding water for her to actually drink:) I think the couple sitting in the park was most entertained as Mom and I maneuvered cups away from her while trying to keep her happy!
I love the one of them on the bench, baby sister was not too happy "sitting" but once we let her stand, she looked quite proud  and happy:) I think we definitely got at least one of each shot, and will post your gallery soon!

Sneak Peek of the "S" family!

My sister- in -laws good friend scheduled a session as a Fathers Day gift. Her boys were almost 2 and 4, and sooo cute! We got a family shot right away, and then spent alot of time laughing, and playing with the boys. Getting 2 busy boys to smile at the same time is not an easy task:) Mom and Dad were wonderful at keeping the boys happy, and getting those precious smiles. Toward the end, Little "S" was getting tired, but some hide and seek around a bench was the perfect ending for him! I will post the gallery soon. These are some of my favorites.

Sneak peek of the "R" family!

I have worked with the "R" family before, and was happy to have run into Mrs. "A" in Naperville last fall. It has been 2 years since our last large group session. I've been to Cantigny many times, and it seems to always lend itself to a story....This time, as we were arranging everyone for the first group shot, I though I stepped on a big rock, however it seemed to squish- yikes. I looked down, and there was one of the biggest bullfrogs I have ever seen! Thankfully he rolled over and hopped off, with a little help from my assistant Rob. We continued with the family group and then took a break to get some of the kiddos with Grandma and Grandpa. Soon after we had to break as Grandpa was not feeling well. We still had the little ones and Grandmas wagon, so we stayed and took some pictures of them pulling each other around. I did a softer look for these and like the nostalgic feel they have. Even though we did not get to do as many arrangements as I hoped, I am quite happy with our results, and am so happy everyone is feeling better now! I will post the gallery soon.

sneak Peek of the "M" family! Naperville

The "M" family is always so laid back for our sessions, it really comes through in the images! We had a fantastic day at the river walk, and so much fun setting up Ms. "A" and Mr. "L" for their pictures. Ms. "A" was quite funny on the bridge as she has not been walking that long and was very excited. Mr. "L" has a new favorite country song, which he sang a few times for us- super cute!! toward the end-we thought they kiddos were done, but tried for another family shot-and they surprised us and were quite smiley and cooperative! With two little ones under 3, that can be a challenge:) Thank you so much for a great photo session!

Sneak peek of the "H" family!

I haven't had a super eventful photography blog story lately:) Ours started out with the entrance the the park we chose being gone due to construction....my bad- a week or so I checked and all was accessible. The "H" family was super understanding and we followed park directions to enter through the back. After a short walk, upon entering the forest we were met with signs that basically said "beware of overly protective coyotes with cubs in  this area" Yikes. Having 2 little ones in the session, we opted to head back out, and I chose a new park for our session. It was a location I've passed many times, but have not taken pictures at before but it was only five minutes from where we were. Little Miss "A" and "L" were so well behaved, and happy to get things going. Miss " L" and I have taken pictures several times, but baby sister had not, so she was a bit shy and not sure exactly what I was doing with my camera:) After setting up the tea set and a snack, Mom and "A" hid behind this big tree and we got some super cute shots of both girls and the whole family. Toward the end, when Miss "L" was running out of "great Ideas" Dad decided to see if the girls would enjoy hanging up in the tree so we took a few pictures for fun, that turned out super cute too. I always say that I will get my shots, and that we did! I am so glad the location worked and that the kiddos held up. I love how the tree worked.

Mom really liked her Mother's Day gift! Everyone was ready to smile! It was really nice to see how all the kids got along so well...Mom and Dad were up for some pictures together and I think the kids really enjoyed seeing that:) There are too many good ones to post, so these are some of my favorites. Love the one of the kids on the bridge! It was so great to meet your family, and I hope to photograph you again! The gallery is posted also:)

Sneak Peek of The "T" family!

My good friends gave their parents a photo session as a gift, and we had a beautiful day for our session. I am certain that if I say this was one of the easiest families to work with, they will not believe me, but...every child was fantastic, no crying, no breaks, I cannot tell you enough how happy I am with our results! I loved meeting your parents, and the rest of your family. The gallery will post very soon!
