The "W" family is very similar to mine, 2 boys and a girl, just off the ages of my own:) Mr. "T" just overflows with personality. After the first 20 minutes, one thing came to mind...Tacky the penguin. Its a story about a penguin who is part of a penguin team that has to do a cheer and the goal is for everyone in the group to look and act the same:) Tacky however thinks everything is fun, and in his silly ways adds tons of personality to the "group" in the book, and in a silly way it all works out in the end...well, all I had to say to Mr. "T" was that he reminded me of Tacky and he was all smiles. He completely understood what I meant. I am seriously thinking about writing a book for photographers, and using tacky as a happy silly child:) Anyway Mom wasn't sure who Tacky was, so I will most likely include his storybook with her order! As you can guess, we really had fun the whole time, and had lots of laughs between our serious smiles....I think Mr. "G" laughed the most when Mom was helping to position the kids and elbow collided with forehead, no tears, just laughs again as it was tacky who collided with Mom...we did not tell him that he had a red circle on his forehead for the next few poses:) Toward the end we did some individual pictures and Ms. A and the boys were so natural during them that I am sure Mom and Dad will be happy. It was great to catch up with you "D" I always have so much fun it truly does not seem like work to me.
sneak peek of the "C" kids!
After taking senior pictures in downtown Naperville we got to take some of the "C" kids together. We could not resist getting a few urban shots on our way to the river walk!I do not think they took a bad picture, and I know you will have a hard time picking.
The gallery will post soon!

Sneak Peek of the "M" Family!
The "M" family was a dream to work with! Mom and I had spoken about outfits and locations, and it all came together at our session! The boys were amazing, and did not take a bad picture- literally...I told Mom I would hire her to train my own children how to smile so easily:) I know this sneak peek took awhile...please enjoy the images and your gallery will post in a day!

Sneak peek of Graduating Senior "M"! NVHS Class of 2014
Urban senior sessions seem to be a fav of the senior boys...there's something about the urban, edgy scene that captures...the I am almost onto College out into the world look. For Mr. "M" the urban scene worked great. I hope Mom doesn't cry at how handsome and old he looks:) "M" has a very strong look, the kind a photographer can just take pictures of, whether he is looking or not:) I'm not sure if "M" knew this when we started, but I was sure to tell him how photogenic he was by the end! After working with "M", we met up with his sister's, and did a short session of them together...watch the blog as this will post next. Thank you again for choosing me to work with your children, they are a true joy to photograph!

Sneak peek of the "C" family!
Its always so nice to catch up with the "C" family. Last time we did family pictures, the kiddos were still small...I cannot believe how they have grown:) We had some high standards to live up to from our last session, and went to Mom's favorite spot along the river walk. Little "P" has turned into a big boy and gave some great smiles, and J and E were picture perfect! Thank you for a wonderful session. Please enjoy the pictures!

Sneak Peek of the "M" family!
Ms. "A" is just 5 months, and has the most hair I have seen on a baby her age, and the roundest bluest eyes! Big brother "L" was supposed to be a bit harder to get as he is in the 2's stage....however we got some great shots and little "L" was so fun the chat with! The baby was not super smiley, but I think that comes a bit later...love the family shots, and the lovie at the end with his "puppy". I will post your gallery this week...thank you for a great session!

Sneak Peek of Graduating Senior "K"! Class of 2014
Ms. "K" started off our session telling me that she wasn't good at this:) Well...one of my strengths as a photographer is finding the right angle, and I never shoot 2 people exactly the same. I told "K" no worries!:) I did find out after the first 30 minutes that her good friend is a photographer too, and she really is a bit camera shy:) however "K" had these enormous eyes and a fantastic smile...so we had no problems at all! I think the funniest part of our session was up in the field. As we were crouched on the ground, we could hear what sounded like deer running just a few feet away in the woods. Kami's friend kept an eye out as I worried about Deer jumping over our heads! Thank you for such a nice time, I will post the gallery soon.

Surprise:) I was able to get this posted tonight for you! One picture that is ok with the Dog was the goal when we started. We got lucky as the barn was pretty quiet and there were no distractions for "B"! I love that "K" is clapping her hands in the family shot with the dog...We definitely got our "one shot" of this. Ms. "K" really liked my chair, so capturing her impish looks and shy smiles was really quite easy and fun. I am amazed at how light blue her eyes are, and these are all her own, no enhancements or saturation here! After getting our main shots we did some candid family time, and captured Baby "K" playing and having so much fun! I have posted a few of my favs. The gallery will post early next week. Thank you for your patience I really enjoyed working with you! C

Sneak Peek of the "W" kids!
Photographing friends is always extra fun! The "W" kids were no exception:) We chose downtown Naperville for our location and had some great places to work in. R & J were both so easy to work with! I am sure thought that "R" was super happy when "Mom" took that star bucks run:) I think the funniest part of our time together is when we had the kids hold the dog for some shots, and she had us all running around trying to scoop her up after she broke lose. It definitely loosened everyone up for some smiles though! Enjoy the sneak peek and thank you for having me capture these memories for you! Carol
