We will soon see little girls in beautiful white dresses and little boys in fantastic suits! My daughter is making her communion this year too, and I cannot wait to take her picture. Communion photo sessions run 30 minutes and can be taken the day of prior to your event. If you have everything ready and would like to get pictures before the big day, we can do that too. The "K" family had a very windy day for our session this past fall. We decided, if there was wind, that's ok and kept shooting. Mom would have preferred to not have to put her hair in a pony, but in the end, all was great! "Monkey" was a bit hard to catch, at 2.5-3, we tend to get a lot of nooooo don't take my pictures, and then the drama begins, of running away to see if we really are going to have to do this:) Dad did a wonderful job of catching "M" (Monkey is his nickname), and we read books, played hide and seek with the dogs and then had some apples for a snack. I so loved his bright eyes and curls! Mom and Dad are expecting a second child this summer and I cannot wait!

I haven't seen baby E since he was a newborn bundle! Wow has he grown and what a cute personality! I love the red hair and blue eyes. This is my first official 2014 session and it was great to get behind my lens. We started with E and a vintage hat and bow tie...I don't think we had to work too hard as E was all smiles and so easy to engage. Big sister however had her own ideas about taking pics, much like most 2 year olds I photograph, and we could not quite get her to stay on the backdrop with E. Grandma was working hard with us too, and I so appreciated the help! I was quick to snap a few photo journalistic shots of her, and really love the look. Mom I hope you are as pleased with these as I am. I know we wanted them together, and I think it will come...hopefully outdoors this summer or fall:) I am posting a sneak peek for you here and will email the gallery release early next week!

Winter is especially blah for me for a few reasons...1). too cold! 2). not enough sun and 3). I don't get to photograph nearly as much as I like to. To shake off some of these winter blues, I designed a wall layout using a bright colored chevron pattern and some more artistic beach pictures with plans to decorate my bath:). I am using metal mounts for this project that are coated and ok for use in a bathroom. Very easy to hang, and super thin! What I love about these mounts, is that you can create your own designer matte around an image, or add words, or a name, or any pattern to match your decor and can even order these with two holes punched at the top to hang by a ribbon. If you have a more artistic shot, and don't know how to display it, or would like to make a "custom" sign for your kiddos...here is a new opportunity to decorate with! I will have more designs coming to choose from. Please email, comment or call with questions!
