First of all I must thank Mrs. "F" for moving ahead with our family/cake smash session and staying positive that this wonderful "Spring" rain would give us time to get in our session:) It worked out perfectly as we arrived at the barn to dry skies! Mr. "B" is just turning one, and was a happy as can be sitting with Mom as we started out...I have broken my baby girl trend as he is the first baby boy this season for me. I loved the casual nature of our session and how easy going everyone was...little "B" was so cooperative- please be sure to tell him I said so:) After out near perfect family poses, we set up for the BIG cake smash, and mother nature decided to pour on us again:( Not to be stopped, we set up baby "B" just outside the picnic overhang as I sat under it to keep shooting..He did not seem to mind the rain one bit, and dove into that cake! At one point, I think he had two fistfuls of cake going in at once, all while smiling up at us when he wasn't eating! After pulling his hat off and checking under the cake plate for more fun :) we were finished! I am loving these pics, and have gotten 3 edited to share. I know that is a small tease, I promise to post more tomorrow. Thank you again for a great session and for holding out and being flexible with this weather.

It was some time ago that the "G" family received a gift certificate for a family photo session...I was so happy to hear from Ms. "R", and most surprised to hear that they had a baby boy since we had first spoken:) At last, we got to meet! We had a beautiful evening and a very fun session! Baby brother was all about Mom and her keys were the magic toy...we did get little sis to hold him for a few. She looks older, as she is very tall, but is under 3- GREAT job big sis! I really enjoyed meeting you, I should have the gallery posted very soon. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Baby "H" and the "B" family were dressed so cute for our session! I can already tell that little "H" is going to be a girly girl and love jewelry- watch out Dad:) I loved the Matilda Jane Knot dress and her vintage romper, which worked perfectly by the old vintage gate at the Japanese gardens in Batavia. This location is somewhat secluded, but very well known for its beautiful gardens. The large iron gate outside is set just outside the garden area, and little "H" was happy as can be to sit and play with some pretty pearls Mom brought along. I am working hard to get more posted for the sneak peek, the gallery will follow...here is one quick shot:) Ill post more soon!

I am on a roll with 6 month girls:) Ms. "I" was as cute as can be. We started out in the grass, but quickley realized after that as she curled her tiny toes and stared up at us, that the grass was not something she was liking.... this was not the way to get a smile!
After moving to the suitcase, and then the chair, we realized that we were going to have to pull out all the stops to get Ms. "I" to think we were funny! I accidentally "taught" Ms. I how to do a really big rasberry face- sorry about that:) it was really cute to see her watch and then do this back to us!
Mom and Dad were a huge help, and I appreciate your working so hard with me. After a clothing change, she clearly preferred the frilly pink dress:))) and a warm spot in the sun we got a couple of smiles and some super cute serious shots. Ms. "I proved to me that a smile does not make for a perfect picture every time- I am loving the coffee serious ones and hope you do too! I am working on the gallery and will email when it is ready to view. Please enjoy the sneak peek!

Sneak Peek of Graduating Senior "L"!
Ms. "L" chose Cantigny for her Senior Pictures, and the colors and background worked perfectly with her outfits! Thank you for being so flexible with the ever changing weather...I am happy that we got that first 60 minutes in before the storm came! I really enjoyed working with Lauren and capturing some great looks:) I am working on posting the gallery and will email you soon! Please enjoy the sneak peek !

I had the pleasure of photographing one of my favorite baby girls this past weekend...I first photographed her when she was the "bump":), then as a newborn, 3 months, and now as a happy smiley 6 month! One of the most rewarding aspects of what I do is being able to see these little ones grow each time. I think baby "S" actually recognizes me now, and it is so fun to see her trying to get my attention. I loved all the quirky smiles, and the toes on the chair with the tall grass...Mom, I cannot get enough of her! Thank you for working through a few delays with this crazy Spring weather and for always being open to ideas during our time together! I am loooking forward to seeing you at 9 months!

The rural setting has provided again a great backdrop for some fantastic pictures! Ms. "M" really loves the outdoors so the barn and preserve were the perfect choice for her Senior pictures. It is so nice to talk with these young adults and hear their future plans...Ms. "M" has a good idea of what she wants to pursue for her career and I am certain she will reach all her goals! I wish you the best, please enjoy your sneak peek-these are some of my favorites! ...The gallery will post very soon.
