"Z" turned one, and I knew our cake smash would be so fun...We just took her one year urban shots a few weeks ago, and she was very focused and serious for most of our time together...So...we figured a little cake would get her to give us those big "Z" smiles! Dad wasn't so sure after the first tentative tasting, so he asked if we could bring out my ever so cute dog, Lexi:) Well....Lexi is super cute, but around new people, she is the equivalent to hanging onto a wild pig until she has had her fill of licking and smelling you! With this in mind, Dad headed to the cage, and a few seconds later the wild pig broke free and bee lined for the cake:)...She did not get that lucky though as we quick grabbed her, and outside to the patio she went! Mom smiled at me as simply said "you did warn him":) I will say, that once outside, she sat quietly on the step, and the baby could see her so it was really cute to see "Z" calling DOGGIE! DOGGIE! and smiling. Whew- thank goodness that worked out:) "Z" did exactly as we had hoped, and smiled, clapped, shared cake and laughed the rest of our smash session. We wrapped up with a doggie bath from Lexi and everyone went home super happy! I will definitely get a human assistant next time and hmmmm...maybe a big picture of my pup, but she wont be in the studio for another cake smash for awhile!
